Aaron Boultbee
Director | Designer | Draftsman
Aaron Boultbee is the Director of Plot Design and is a professional building designer, architectural draftsman & sustainability consultant, with over 20 years of experience on residential and commercial projects. Aaron is a Full Member of the Building Designers Association Western Australia BDAWA.
Aaron's diverse experience includes project, operation, and office management as well as working extensively with engineers, landscape and building designers/architects, and operating his own building design practice.
As Director of Plot Design, Aaron draws upon these skills to understand each project and work with the project team in a forward-thinking, responsive and collaborative way. Providing high-quality design, drafting, and consultancy services on residential, grouped housing, small commercial, and development scale projects.
Aaron takes pride in working with our clients and the project team to achieve best practice sustainability outcomes. These include passive solar design, renewable energy systems, energy assessments, development scale design guidelines, productive and water-efficient garden design, and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) projects.
Aaron is an HIA Greensmart Professional and has experience as a building thermal performance assessor accredited under the Nationwide Housing Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS).
Aaron enjoys the hills lifestyle and Plot Design operates from his home studio in Parkerville.
James Taylor
Draftsman
James Taylor joined the Plot Design team as a Draftsman in 2020 & brings with his professionalism & keen attention to detail that adds value to our project's documentation / detailing. James works alongside Aaron to develop the detailed 3D models & drawings need for the construction of our hills homes.
He has completed a Bachelor of Design at UWA and completed the Diploma of Building Design at TAFE. He also has a long history working as a bookkeeper & admin in his family's accounting practice, is a dab hand on his farm in Gidgegannup farm & on the dance floor as an instructor.
James's design interests include passive solar design, liveable home design principles & interest in alternative building systems. He is a strong proponent of adopting innovative building systems & applying these where practical.
